Which rules does this game use?
The clock guide draws on the official 2026 NFL rulebook: Rule 4, Sections 3–5 cover clock starts, stops and timeouts; Rule 8, Section 2, Article 1, Item 3 covers an immediate spike. See our clock guide and rule references.
Two Minute Drill uses its own fixed play outcomes, preparation times and guaranteed kicks within range. It ends after one possession and gives the opponent no timeouts. These are simplified game rules, not a complete NFL simulation.

What is a two-minute drill?
A two-minute drill is a football offense’s plan for the closing minutes: move downfield, manage the clock and finish with the points it needs. This game turns those decisions into short, original practice drives. Read the clock management guide for the main tradeoffs.
Does the clock run while I think?
No. Take as long as you need to choose. Time advances with your play and, when the clock is running, the tempo you select before the next snap.
How does the daily drill work?
The situation changes at 00:00 UTC, rotating through our original drills. Your first completed daily result is saved on this device. Replays are practice and do not replace it.
Can I try a different call?
Yes. Open Practice, choose a drill and use Undo to go back one decision. Preview this play shows the fixed outcome in this game’s teaching model. You can also build and share your own starting situation.
Is this the NFL Two-Minute Drill daily game?
This is an independent practice game with fictional situations and simplified rules. For the fan-made game using real NFL endings, visit NFL2MinDrill.com. That is a separate product.
Are the results predictions of real football?
No. Every play has a fixed teaching outcome for the defense shown. A touchdown adds an automatic extra point, kicks within this game’s range are good, and a tied finish is not a win. See the complete game rules.
